Chamber News Linda Johnson February 24, 2014 Reviews 8 Comments Veterans Appreciation Day The Chamber’s Veterans Affairs Committee is sponsoring a Veterans Appreciation & Information Day, to show appreciation and conduct a “meet and greet” for local area military veterans. With over 80,000 veterans in West Alabama and specifically 4000 plus enrolled at the University of Alabama and Shelton State Community College, a large turnout is expected due to the support of Chamber members. Additionally, attending veterans may fill out information sheets that will provide skills and qualifications to be made available for Chamber members to analyze for potential job requirements. The event is Saturday February 22, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Atrium at Shelton State Community College.
